Hi everyone! For us the summer is just beginning. And for the rest of you
too.
Major event behind us. Thank-you all for your support to us and the
newlyweds last weekend! We've heard from them and their having a great time
in California and just got to Las Vegas. They should be back Friday night.
For those of you who weren't aware, Brad and Alana didn't leave for their
honeymoon until Thursday. Their new address is:
Brad and Alana Heller 1106 Walnut Drive, Danielsville, Pa. 18038
Things have settled down this past week. The previous week we had the
noise and chatter of 5 and 6 additional girls in our home.
This Saturday, Bill and I will be driving out to Iowa to visit my Dad in
the
nursing home. We're hoping to visit with my brothers and hopefully it works
out for my sister to come out as well. She and her husband are in the middle
of moving from Florida to Tennessee. Bill and I are hoping to do a little
traveling as well the latter part of the week, coming home by way of
NewYork. We have a celebration picnic in Arkport N.Y. I'm not sure if you
all know that Auckland Farms in N.Y. and in Q-town was sold. The buyer at
Q-town will continue to sell wholesale locally, things will stay basicly as
they have been except they will not have their own NY potatos.
Derek is working at a camp for 5 weeks this summer. Pray for him I think
he feels alittle bit out of his comfort zone working with younger
kids.
He has no computer there and is limited on phone use so he would love some
good old fashioned mail. He will be taking a college class in Michigan
latter in
the summer.
Melissa is taking a micro biology class this summer as part of her
dental
hygiene program she feels as if it is taking to much of her time because
the
teacher does not know how to teach and the only way she can pass the
course is by seeing a tutor for help regularly. At dental hygiene orentation
they
told them that they better figure on putting the rest of thier lives on
hold
for the next 2 years because the program demands most of thier time. That
could be tuff for Melissa.
We are into strawberry season I just picked around 7-8 quarts and if the
weather holds and the flea bettles and chipmonks don't eat too many we
should
be getting that many or more per day for the next two weeks or so. They
really
seam to have good flavor this year. Too bad we are planning to go to Iowa.
Call me if you would like to pick one day next week and I will see
if I can work you into the picking schedule.
