Hello to All,
We hope our turn in writting is finding everyone doing well and enjoying the springtime!
We are enjoying the warmer weather but more work comes along with it! Jim has started a deck on our swimming pool. It is coming along very well, as long as we try to let him alone to think about what he is doing.. He continues to work alot. I wish he could work a 40 hour work week. He has never experienced it. He wouldnt know how to act. He got a bigger tractor to drive, he can stand up in the inside and the bunk is alot more roomy for when he is away.He has been away on a couple of overnight trips. Ashton is getting better with them. He seems to be away when I need to work at night.
The night gets long for the kids, because I have started working before they come home from school. Brandon works on Tuesday nights also so he isnt around either. Devon and Dana will be home soon so that should help. We have been very blessed with older boys who take such an interest in the younger two. Both boys meet Ashton at school for lunch and have helped with her school parties, along with Dana. Brandon just took Ashton to work with him on "Take your daughter to work day". Brandon spends alot of time talking to J.R. about teenager stuff that we are fast approaching. He doesn't absorb as much from us, as he does from his older brother. Brandon is so good with Heather too(J.R.'s birth sister). Heather has claimed Brandon to be her boyfriend. It doesnt hurt that he calls her a Princess. She is older than Ashton and has just turned 11. Although most times she is on a 4-5 year level, we enjoy her like you would a toddler learning new things. She still gives Harold and Nancy a run for their money.
Brandon is trying hard to sell cars at Scheithauer. Sales are really down, and it doesnt help that they have alot of recalls on their vehicles. This job however has allowed him to take the time to heal and use his gift of GAB. In June will be 6 months since his surgery. He has joined the YMCA to swim and do water exercises. Its been a long time since he was able to excersise, he takes a good nap when he comes home. His limp seems to be almost gone, at times he just feels alittle achy. Burning the candle on both ends doesnt usually help. He helps a friend mow lawns when its nice. He plans on taking 1 night class on the Ambler campus for now. A good friend of his from Temple has had a serious injury at Temple University. The landlord built a high loft for a bed to be on. Brian fell out of it while sleeping and broke his back. That happened about 6 weeks ago. They just told him last week that we will never walk again. Because of the fluid around his lungs they just gave him a tacheotomy, they wanted to get him off of his resperator. He offered Brandon such strength and encouragement when he came to see him in the hospital, I pray God lets him see that in himself . He has many obstacles to overcome.
Devon and Dana are on their way home. Its always nice to have them around.
They are good company and always a pleasure to have around. They just truly enjoy each others company. I asked Dev if he was ready to come home yet. He said he was ready to have a home again. I guess we get 2 points for that one. He will be back at Levys this summer which he is looking forward to.
J.R. and Ashton have been ready to get outside again. They both are doing well at school. Ashton is ready for school to be over. Although I never am, because I wear 2 hats (working Mom and Stay at home Mom)3 days a week.
Ashton is planning Paige's(her puppy) !st Birthday party. We are having fun together planning it.We even have Scooby Doo plates and napkins, what could be better! She even got her a little doggy cake. We are having wrapped hotdogs and hushpuppies, bone shaped candies and jello. What can I say, shes not just a farm dog! If you were born a Rosenberger you may not understand... (Jim has balked at the party planning). Inlaws keep a family so well rounded, don't they?
We are working on a new flower bed near my shop door. It is shaping up real nice but I dont think I will walk tomorrow.
We cant be getting older...We are the youngest!
Happy Mothers Day! to Mom and to all of the other Moms
Take alittle time to enjoy the view...
Vicki, Jim, Brandon, Devon, J.R., Ashton, and birthday girl Paige...
