July 27th Vicki Wrote

Hello Inlaws and Outlaws,

I hope everyone enjoyed their "Rosenberger weekend"! I know I did. The house was unusually quiet and Ashton and I got to do the girl thing, which was nice not having boys tagging along. A special thank you to Mary for organizing the food list and to Alan Jo,Jeff Bill and Kathy for being the last ones there and having to clean up everyone elses mess.

I am usually the one who writes when it is Jims turn, he may give me things he wants to include but I am riding solo tonight. Jim left Monday morning for South Carolina, and wont be home until maybe late Thursday. He never seems to get home when he should, I guess we should get used to it.

Jims new job has brought quite alot of changes for our family and we are still adapting. Some better than others. I have had to wear my SUPER MOM shirt for the last 90 days and it could use a good washing to say the least. I can attest it is easier to leave and go to work than it is to stay home and man the fort. Thats why we are called "stay at home MOMS" and not "stay at home Dads", there arent enough psych units to hold you all.. (ha ha)

I asked Brandon to send a mailing this week. As you can tell he didnt. Unfortunatley the cloud is still hovering over him. The other night when he slept in the city a Temple van sideswiped his new car so bad that it even knocked his rearview mirror off. Dealing with the University and Temple police were nothing less than having a migraine.

Things with his surgery have really progressed. (for those who were not at the Rosenberger weekend, I will quick review). Shriners Hospital accepted him for surgery Sept 8. A Pittsburg Hospital accepted him with a Sept 28 surgery date and I just called University of Penn today, a surgean there works on Extensive Arothoscope patients, and Perthes Disease patients. I left a message there this morning and this afternoon the surgean called me back himself! I LOVE HIM! I will call and get an appointment with him tomorrow. They dont know it yet but they will see him in the next 2 weeks.

I unfortunately have had to become Brandons personal advocate. No surgean wants to touch him because of the complexity of his hip. He will have his surgery before Sept 8! I will prevail! ( I cant give up now, everyone now knows me by my first name!)

Paige went to the vet today. It was quite an experience when we got home. Paige cried so bad when she got her shots. When we got home she wouldnt even walk. She wouldnt hold her head up,she was even breathing hard. she even cried when she was by herself in her crate.Do dogs have panic attacks? or do we have a wimp?she got her shot at 12 and she wasnt herself again until 7!

Devon and Josh are working hard to get on the road. The closer it gets the more difficult it may be to leave.

Thank You for your prayers for Brandon,

TTFN
