May 11th Alan Wrote

My how time flies. It seems like just yesterday I was writing my last new letter.

Jeff came home in time for Mother’s Day. Classes are over and we will be going up for graduation in a week and a half.

Jeff will be working again this summer at JTAN and returning to Worcester in August to complete his Masters Degree. He hopes to join the regular work force in January. One of his extra-curricular activities this fall will be sending out resumes. If any of you want to hire a computer programmer let me know and I will see that you are put on the mailing list.

Jo has been busy this spring going through "stuff". She has been in a get rid of mood and did quite well at our spring yard sale. Her uncle lives on 313 so we try to have a yard sale every spring. This year we went with the van FULL and came home with empty boxes. Some of the others set up to sell didn’t understand why their stuff didn’t sell like our stuff did and didn’t like Jo’s strategy of having a bag sale. Anything you can get in a bag for $0.50. They felt they had to make a million dollars on their yard sale but we went home with empty boxes, they didn’t.

I am in the process of new kindergartners, new school assignments and new bus routes at work. It is one of the busiest times of the year for me but much more fun than the winter storms I railed about two newsletters ago. The process of preparations for the next school year normally takes from February through August. One of the big deadlines is the beginning of July when we mail out bus information for September. The rest of the summer is spent making corrections and trying to satisfy unforgiving parents. Transporting kids would be much easier if they didn’t have parents.

Sorry for the delay in writing but I am not nearly as late as some of my siblings.

I look forward to seeing you-all at Jeff’s graduation party.

Alan
