February 29th Bill Wrote

Bill;

It is way too nice a day for me to be sitting here picking at the computer but here I am.

Alana wanted me to go hiking with her and Brad up at Bakeoven Knob this afternoon but it got to late till we were ready to go so they went by themselves.

I feel like I have been spending too much time at the computer lately, between doing the kids taxes and fafsas and searching through the IRS web site to find a $998 mistake that H&R Block made on my return. I’m glad I don’t need to do this all the time. Although it did feel good to think I made $998 dollar playing on the internet one afternoon.

About 2 weeks ago I was sitting here by myself one Thursday evening and to my great dismay, I discovered that the house was starting to get cold even though I could here the blower running on the heat pump. Upon closer inspection I discovered that after 24 plus years of faithfully keeping me and my family warm in the winter and cool in the summer my heat pump was calling it quits. It had no consideration that I am in the middle of trying to help put three kids through collage, and I could think of numerous other places to use the $998 I had found in my income tax. One of these days I’m going to have to break down and call somebody to look at getting a new heat source in this house. And spend a few bucks.

If any of you would like to eat out sometime and have just the most beautiful and personable waitress you will ever have visit the Trivit Restaurant in the southwest end of Emmaus on route 29 on a Thursday, Friday, or Sunday evening. Melissa is enjoying her job except there are so many things she feels she is missing out on because she is working.

Derek enjoyed his trip to the southwest in January and felt it was a great experience and felt he learned a lot. Now the other day he called and said he had the opportunity to go to Utah during spring break on a hiking trip or to North Carolina on a hiking trip. But since both trips cost money of which he does not have right now his dear old dad discouraged him on both trips and suggested he consider working at Schantz’s that week since it is a busy time of year there. What a scrooge of a dad he has or is it practical dad he has.

. Alana has been accepted for grad school at Marywood so I guess she will be spending another year or two there. She will be graduating in the spring with her undergraduate degree in speech pathology and will work on her masters in early childhood education.(by the way somehow she got of the list to receive these emails make sure she is on your list to receive them.) She has spring break this week and plans to help with a group from our church at the soup kitchen in Quakertown Monday evening I’m not sure what the rest of her plans are for this week.

Guess that’s all for now

Love you all
