January 30th Mom Wrote
Mom's turn again,
Blessing to all my wonderful family, Children, Grandchildren, In-laws, and three Great-Grandchildren. I love all of you!
One month of the New Year has passed into history!
For excitement around S.M.H. we had weekly fire alarms, two in the middle of the night, lots of grumbling. It is always good to know there is no fire. There have been some water problems and flooding of several apartments.
Our maintenance and cleaning crews have been very busy. Moving and cleaning the snow from our cars is a problem. It makes me think about giving up driving. But… Spring is right around the corner.
Our seminar in January was "Humor and your Health". Have you had a good deep down belly laugh today? Our presenter showed us how to do four different kinds of laughter. It was a fun afternoon. I am glad I can laugh at myself when I make a dumb mistake.
My dear 96 year old neighbor who lost most of her eyesight in the last year told me "Coming down the hall one day there was a cleaning cart with long handled mops and brooms. She said she was afraid that someday she might say hello to a broom."
Our trip to Cabelas on the 28th was postponed. I have missed services at Swamp four Sundays already this winter.
Did you get to see the early robins? A flock of maybe 75 to 100 surprised me the morning of Jan 9th. I was sitting in my comfort zone where I can see sky and the top of a tree. I saw birds, maybe ten. Those made me get up for a better look. In the other direction the tree was FULL of birds. I could see the red breast of the robins. Oh, what a pleasant surprise and pleasing sight.
I keep thinking of our new babies and hope they and their mothers are enjoying this time together.
I wonder about Derek, is he home again?
It was good to see Ashton in her cheerleading outfit. They stopped in to see me after her day of competition. Her group took the prize and came away very happy. Congratulations to Ashton and her parents.
A few days later… Jan 30th
Las night Jenny surprised me with a phone call. You know I like surprises. She is doing well, enjoying being a mother, and of course in her eyes Joshua is the cutest baby ever born. That might be debated.
God bless all of you, and always remember
"He Loves You"
