Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn"t mttaer in
what order the ltteers in a word are, the only iprmoetnt thing is that the
frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a total mses
and you can still raed it wouthit a porbelm. This is bcuseae we do not raed
ervey lteter by itself but the word as a wlohe.
I came across this and thought I wanted to share it with you. I found it
very interesting and had to wonder about the need for Samuel's spelling
words that we struggle so much with. In his future he will be glad for
spell check.
I must say I am sorry for being late, I told Bill that I was a delinquent
and he didn't think I fit that group. Thanks Bill. I have no excuse this
time. Just sorry. These letters mean so much to me and I look forward to
them each week so hopefully this comes at a time when you need it. My
friend Lynn who received a kidney transplant at my last writing time is
doing very well. Our Schuylkill trips to the city have been uneventful,
thankfully, God has been good to us many times. For about 4 weeks I was
going once a week but now we are going about every 10 days to 2 weeks. She
needs to continue to her 6th month and then will be turned back over to a
kidney specialist at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, much closer to
home and she should be able to drive herself at that time.
Our family willingly got snowed in at a friend's house last night during our
big pre Christmas snowstorm. It was a bit unexpected and none of us had
boots, snow pants, or clean clothes. I was to be at a Ladies Christmas Tea
at church and Paul and the boys were to play background Christmas music.
After setting up all our stuff they decided to cancel the Tea and that is
how we ended up away from home in the first place on a snowy night so we
crashed at our friends. We made 3 different kinds of cookies and watched
"The Sound of Music". Paul and the boys had never seen it and I think I saw
it when it came out on T.V. years ago. We were concerned about starting a 3
hour movie at 10:30 P.M. but oh well we are still young (or is that our
boys) and we didn't need to drive home.
Christmas is around the corner and I have made some contacts about food for
our get together, but for those I have not reached this is the plan. We
will be having soup and an extravagant salad bar. Bill, Phil, Al, Jim, and
I will each be bringing a pot of soup and some salad supplies and the rest
of you will fill in with other salads, toppings, rolls, chips etc. If
everyone can bring drink and a dessert will be optional. I will be
contacting you. We will be doing the normal adult gift exchange. The
grandchildren exchanged names among themselves and if I have neglected
anything in this planning let me know. By the way, the event is Saturday
December 27 at the usual School Gym from 10:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., meal will
be at 1:00. Come early to play ball and visit.
My family is well and things are continuing as usual, not much has changed.
Looking
back through this letter I am tired and I hope none of you have fallen
asleep this sure is a boring blah, blah, blah. May God Bless you in your
daily lives and I look forward to our get together. Take time to stop and
care about someone.
Love and Prayers Mary
