I hope you don't mind that I cleaned things up a bit. I have really been
enjoying this news letter and I hate when it's late.
Bill: I enjoyed your memories. I could identify with nearly all of them.
Here are a few more.
Remenber:
-doing the eggs every day at 4:00
-the little pink dish Grammy Rosenberger used to carry the cracked eggs home
with
-fighting to take of Daddys's shoes in the evening
-going up (or down) to Grammy's to watch Lassie and Disney on Sunday
evenings
-Melvin coming over to put up the silo pipes
-leveling out the silage in the silo
-playing a game of baseball every time the Freis came for milk
-fighting over whose turn it is to carry milk
-checking the traps early in the morning
-Mom's story about the first muskrat that Dave caught
Life has been great.
I have some exciting news. Watch your TV news on October 9th, you might see
Karalee. The choir she is in has been invited to perform at the ceremony
when the Liberty Bell is moved into it's new home. As of now President Bush
is planning to attend and it will be a big deal. Karalee had to take in her
SS# so the could do background checks for her security ID. We are hoping
they don't find anything
Pat is planning a homeschool field trip to Plymouth, Mass. in early October.
They are having some special events for home schoolers.
I'm anxiously awaiting a call from Darrel announcing that I am a grandpa. He
told me last week that the doctor doesn't think they will make it to their
due date. I suggested a nice long bus ride this weekend to get things
started, but he wasn't sure that that would be a good idea.
I am back in seminary after a nice month-long break. I have really enjoyed my
classes, even though it is a lot of work on top of an already busy schedule.
I finally finished the bathroom. It was in a state of being remodeled since
last thanksgiving, but now it is done. The biggest changes are a new tub and the sink has been moved back so the front of it is flush with the front of
the tub. That means the closet is gone. New cabinets have been added behind
the door. The floor is new, and the green tile is gone. It has been a lot of
work, but I enjoy tinkering with that sort of stuff.
It's interesting that the last time I wrote in this newsletter was a few
days before we got together in the Poconos.
Love you all... Phil
