HIGH ALL
From BILL & KATHY
WELL THE KIDS ARE ALL BACK IN SCHOOL. CAN YOU BELIEVE MELISSA AND ALANA
ARE BOTH
SENIORS; AND I'M STARTING TO FEEL LIKE ONE. YES NEXT TIME I HAVE TO WRITE
I'LL BE 50 CAN
YOU BELIEVE IT.
Do any of you remember when Norman turned 50; and the big deal he made
that he was half a century old.
It did seem old back then. How old would he be now? I'd like to hear some
of your memories of Norman; he
was a big part of our lives as kids.
To go along with that what are some
of your special memories of Mom
and Dad from your growing up years.
Who remembers sitting by the kitchen window waiting for the barn
lights to go off?
Who remembers going out on those cold November days
and picking the last of the corn by hand?
Who remembers mom putting on some of Daddy's pants and
going sledding with us?
Who remembers daddy getting the combine out and putting
the canvases on to start combining wheat?
Who remembers going with Norman down to Frei's to feed
the pigs?
Who remembers when Daddy used to come home from church
through Steinsburg and past Boardmans?
We truely did have a rich and wonderful childhood. Thanks Mom!
We were truly blessed to have grown up in a Christian home where the
name of Christ was reverenced
and we were taught right from wrong.
Alana is back in the books and is feeling the preasure of a busy
schedule. She has been coming home
weekends to work at Dorney Park and spend time with Brad. She is really
beginning to wish her major (speech pathology) did not require two years of
grad school.
Its exciting to watch her and Brads relationship
grow. They are curently taking a ballroom dancing class on Friday evenings
along with one of Alana's friends
from high school and her boyfriend. She is sure that she is either very
lucky or blessed to have found a guy as
wonderful as Brad.
Derek is still enjoying life as a student. He seems to have a heavy
load of reading and studying along
with his new resposibilties as an R.A. He has also been offered a new
position working with the museum
that they have on campus; he is still undecided as to wether he will accept
that position.
Melissa had a difficult start to her school year; Southern Lehigh
seems to have a problem in their guidance office when it comes to schedules,
its a long story. She is currently working at filling out an application for
early admission at Messiah College. We will be visiting some other schools
with her this fall yet, she is not
totally decided on school or major; although nursing seems to be of some
interest.
I'm not sure what kind of changes I may find in my job in the next
months or year. My boss is moving to a bigger place in Bethlehem and it could
change the routine that I have become used too.
Kathy has been keeping busy working and canning and everything else
she does. She has been thinking and preparing for clubs that start this
comming week.
WELL SEE YOU ALL LATER

By the way Al we are still eating beans out of my garden .
