Hopefully Al won't fire me for leaving out some of "the rules". Afterall, Dave broke them in the first place! :)

yeah, yeah, I know I'm late . . . I was just too tired on Sunday and too engrossed with other "stuff" on Monday. Anyway, enough excuses.

Hi all!!
I can't believe my "little girl" is going to be 30 on Friday!!!! Anybody else find that hard to believe?? I'm going out to visit on the 20th -- I can't get enough of seeing her pregnant! It reminds me of when I was carrying her. She's had a great pregnancy so far with no major issues--not even morning sickness--feet are giving her some grief with swelling, etc--she's a natural, of course!! (brag brag - Alan said we could! :):) ) Due date is around October 24, give or take a couple days. Perhaps she'll hit my birthday.

The baby shower was nice with about 25-30 people, including kids (Ray and Connie's 6 grandkids, among others). Ray and Connie have a beautiful deck out back, and Alan loaned one of the 3 tarps (or whatever you call those white things on poles). Jen and Jason got quite a few of the larger items they had on their registry -- Pack-N-Play was MUCH appreciated, thank you, Rosenberger gang! They didn't receive much in the way of clothes, blankets, etc but I'm sure when baby arrives, they'll be ready. Besides, I love buying baby clothes.

Speaking of "buying", it looks like I could be in better shape to do that by November. I have begun work as a consultant with Sunrise Health Centers, an outpatient rehab facility in Allentown. It's very few hours, but the facility is brand new and expects to grow. In addition, I'm currently talking with Hospice St John and Senior Behavioral Health Group (both in Allentown). And I emailed Crime Victims Council in Allentown yesterday -- they've started a new program for the Lehigh Valley LGBT community in regards to hate crimes. I may actually have to "pick and choose" -- as Jen said, "it's raining jobs". Thanks to all of you who have been praying for me, my under-employment, and my financial crunch.

Anybody know anything about Ron Hamilton Painting in Richlandtown?? He's coming this morning to give an estimate for some outside painting, etc. I'm also calling Ploucher Painting (Souderton-Telford) and Joseph Leidy (Pennsburg). I need exterior painting, deck work, and also some trim replacement at my back door. I got these out of the yellow pages -- any other recommendations? Call me if you do -- 215-529-4651.

I think we're all happy to hear that Dave has finally treated himself to a NEW vehicle! :) And don't try to move ALL the firewood in one day, Dave, we're all too old for that! :)

Well, enough -- it's time to get this on its way.

Ongoing Questions.
1. Alan Asked: Do we need to keep the rules on the newsletter?
Alan answered: No
Mary Answered: No (Paul added, If we say "no", we won't have to "think outside the box" to get around the rules.)
Ruth answered: Probably good idea to leave them on for one more "round"

2. Mary Asked: Any Ideas where I can take my boys for an unusual, fun, educational, lifetime experience, day or weekend field trip?
Ruth answered: How about CPR training? (I know it doesn't exactly fit the description)

3. Mom asked: How could I feel a little more connected to my grandchildren?
